My visual arts career began over twenty-five years ago in graphic designing and commercial photography. I studied commercial art at The School of Visual Arts, NYC and advertising photography at Portfolio Center, Atlanta. Early on in my career, I worked for various advertising agencies in NY and Atlanta as a graphic designer, comp artist, and photographer. I broke out on my own after working for a few years as a freelance artist and established a studio in the Atlanta area where I continued to perform all the duties of an ad agency artist. I eventually made the decision to concentrate solely on photography and went on to achieve the Professional Photographers of America certification degree (CPP). My clients have included: Kodak, IBM, Fujisawa, Sweetheart Cup, Rheam Corporation, Ritz Carlton, Ernst & Young, The Fox Theatre and many others. My most memorable photo session was with jazz musician Ray Charles with whom I had admired long before I had the honor to meet and photograph him. I enjoy sharing my photography techniques and knowledge with others. I have taught professional photography for The Southeastern Center for the Arts in Atlanta, and photography electives for the middle and high school levels. I made the decision to close the Atlanta studio in 2000 and move to Florida to focus on fine art markets. I currently reside in north Florida where I find the landscape and weather very appealing. I am available on a limited basis for commercial work and travel. Please contact me if you like my work and are in need of a professional photographer for people, place or product. I teach privately and through workshops when my schedule permits. I literally grew-up in partnership with film and the digital transition throughout my career and started with Photoshop 1.0 on a Macintosch Plus! My current design tools include Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium and other graphic programs and plug-ins. I love to be creative with my vision.
